Tres Tinkle breaks bone in non-shooting wrist; surgery possible

CORVALLIS – Oregon State sophomore forward Tres Tinkle broke his non-shooting wrist Friday in the Beavers' 63-58 loss to Fresno State, head coach Wayne Tinkle told The Oregonian/OregonLive.

The 6-foot-8 Montana native and coach's son will have a CT scan Monday to determine whether the injury will require surgery. Wayne Tinkle said the initial prognosis for return was four to six weeks but is expected to know more following the scan.

"We'll probably have to make a quick decision (on surgery)," Wayne Tinkle said. "It's a real tough blow at a tough time for us."

Tres Tinkle, a lefty who earned Pac-12 all-freshman honorable mention last season, had two X-rays in Corvallis on Saturday that determined he had a fracture in his right radius.
