Oregon State's Travis Eckert was thrust into the role of Friday night starter for the Beavers last week, after it was determined that Drew Rasmussen would be lost for the season due to a UCL tear.
Eckert responded by going 5 innings + a batter of shutout ball in Oregon State's 10-1 win over Washington. Eckert struck out 9 while allowing 3 hits and 3 walks, and improved his record to 3-2 for the season.
That resulted in him being named the Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week, and in the company of Rasmussen, who he took the place of, as Beavers so honored this season.
