Three Lessons From the Weber State Game

We finally unveiled Gary Andersen's new football vision and it was acceptable.

1. The run game has to be the focal point of the offense. Collins has shown to be primarily a runner and that washow the game was called by Dave Baldwin. They did not give him many chances for intermediate routesthroughout the game although some were called in the later portions of the game. More concerning however wasa general lack of push from an offensive line that should be the strength of the offense and likely the whole team.

More so in the first half against a fresh defense they struggled to open up lanes for Storm Barrs-Woods and ChrisBrown who showed enough wiggle and speed to get the necessary yards when the lanes were opening.
