Oregon State senior point guard Sydney Wiese is a preseason All-Pac-12 selection in a vote by the media members who cover the conference.
Wiese, who has earned postseason All-Pac-12 honors her previous three seasons in Corvallis, averaged 12.8 points and 5.7 rebounds last season while shooting 36.1 percent from 3-point range. She's OSU's all-time leader in 3-pointers and is on pace to break the conference's record in that category, and already ranks 10th in school history in points (1,276) and fourth in assists (463). And with the departure of 2016 Pac-12 Player of the Year Jamie Weisner and two-time conference Defensive Player of the Year Ruth Hamblin, Wiese is set to become the Beavers' centerpiece in her final season.
