Oregon State football offensive lineman has been selected one of five players from the Pac-12 Conference to the initial Rimington Trophy watch list, presented annually to the nation's top center.
The 6-2, 289-pound Houston, who converted from defensive tackle in the offseason, will anchor the Beaver offensive line that enabled OSU to set a single season school record for rushing yards per carry average last season at 5.2.
Houston, a native of Dublin, Calif., has started 11 games throughout his career on defense making 26 tackles. The construction engineering management major has twice been honored by the Pac-12 Conference for his academic success.
