SAN FRANCISCO - After going 2-0 over the weekend, Oregon State's junior Sydney Studer has been named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week, as announced Monday afternoon.
"Syd had a super weekend helping to anchor our defense and score three huge goals in a two-win weekend," said head coach Matt Kagan. "I am very happy for her and the whole team for securing two great results."
Playing for an excellent weekend of competition, Studer helped the team notch two conference wins including a shutout against Colorado on Friday. She, along with the rest of the OSU defense stopped all but three of the Buff's shots before they even hit the goalie.
