STOCKTON, California -- The most popular team in the Stockton Regional is probably not top seed South Carolina. Or West Coast rep Oregon State.
It's probably Quinnipiac, the lowest-seeded team remaining in the entire field with the hard-to-pronounce name that has advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time in school history.
When asked to say "Quinnipiac" during Friday's press conference, South Carolina star A'ja Wilson admitted "I don't want to mess it up" and requested that the moderator clarify how to say it.
"I just say 'QPA,'" Wilson said later.
