CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State guard Stephen Thompson Jr. was named the Pac-12 Men's Basketball Player of the Week, Commissioner Larry Scott announced Monday.
Thompson Jr. averaged 25.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists, while shooting 50.0 percent (17-for-34) from the field and 91.7 percent (11-for-12) from the free throw line in wins over USC and UCLA.
Against the Trojans, he posted his second career double-double with a career-high 34 points and 10 rebounds. He added five assists in the 79-74 overtime victory.
Against the Bruins, he had 17 points, six rebounds, six assists and two steals in the 79-66 win.
