Stephen Thompson, Jr., Oregon State Beavers signee, continues to pile up accolades

The honors continue piling up for Stephen Thompson, Jr.

Daily Breeze, a daily newspaper in Torrance, California, named the Oregon State men's basketball signee its player of the year earlier this week. That came five days after MaxPreps selected him a fifth-team All American.

Thompson, the son of OSU assistant coach Stephen Thompson, Sr., received the CIF Southern Section Division IV High School Player of the Year award last Friday at the ESPN College Basketball Awards Show in Los Angeles.

The 6-foot-3 guard is fresh off leading Bishop Montgomery High School to the CIF Southern Section Open Division title with a stat-stuffing season line of 24.
