The Oregon State Beavers football program hasn't added a new commitment just yet under new head coach Jonathan Smith, but they did manage to add a star to their class.
In Rivals' updated rankings, Marin Catholic quarterback Spencer Petras, an Oregon State pledge, was bumped up to four-star status.
The 6-foot-5, 215-pound signal-caller, out of Kentfield, California, drew high praise from Rivals recruiting analyst Adam Gorney.
"Petras is a 6-foot-5 quarterback with a huge arm who has put up huge stats this season at Marin Catholic, and he's a winner as well, leading his team to an undefeated season so far," Gorney wrote.
