CORVALLIS – Redshirt-sophomore Destiny Slocum has earned more national recognition this week, as the point guard was named to the Wooden Award Late Season Top-20.
The list is comprised of 20 student-athletes who are the front-runners for some of college basketball's most prestigious honors, the John R. Wooden Award All American Team and Most Outstanding Player Award. The list is chosen by a poll of national women's college basketball media members.
Slocum, a digital communication arts major, is averaging a team-high 16.2 points per game this season, and is shooting 47.4 percent from the floor.
