CORVALLIS – Oregon State's Destiny Slocum has been named to the 2019 Nancy Lieberman Award Preseason Watch List, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and Women's Basketball Coaches Association announced Monday.
The list features the 20 top candidates for the prestigious award, which recognizes the top point guard in the country. To be considered for this honor, candidates exhibit the floor leadership, play-making and ball-handling skills of Class of 1996 Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman.
By mid-February, the watch list of 20 players for the 2019 Lieberman Award will be narrowed to just 10.
