has made improved special teams play a priority for the 2017 season.
The Seahawks acquired linebacker D.J. Alexander in exchange for linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis after a trade with Kansas City Sunday. Alexander, a former Oregon State star, has built a reputation as a standout special teams player and was named to the Pro Bowl as an alternate last season.
"He is a ridiculously good special teams player," Carroll told reporters Sunday. "He is a Pro Bowl special teams player. He has a big attitude and energy about him."
The third-year player opened a few eyes in the Pro Bowl.
