Oregon State's successful 2016-17 women's basketball season also earned coach Scott Rueck more than $100,000 in on- and off-the-court, performance-based bonuses, according to his contract obtained by The Oregonian/OregonLive.com via a public records request.
Rueck is due extra pay for winning the Pac-12 regular-season championship ($15,000), winning Pac-12 Coach of the Year ($10,000), making the NCAA Tournament (one month's base salary -- $42,917), winning two games during March Madness ($20,000) and posting a team Academic Progress Rate score over 966 ($15,000 -- OSU notched a perfect score of 1,000). That total is $102,917.
Rueck has completely rebuilt OSU's program into a national contender during his seven seasons in Corvallis, winning three consecutive Pac-12 titles, advancing to the Sweet 16 two years in a row and making the Final Four in 2016.
