The Oregon State Beavers football program has turned its recruiting focus primarily to West Coast talents under coach Jonathan Smith with added emphasis placed on securing the top talents in the Northwest.
But proving that aim to be more than just words, Oregon State has spent the early part of the fall hosting the top prospects in the Northwest and offering rising talents early.
So far in the class of 2019 that effort has netted them five in-state prospects - Crescent Valley linebacker Omar Speights, West Salem wide receiver Anthony Gould, Clackamas defensive lineman Kelsen Hennessy, Marshfield defensive end/outside linebacker Cory Stover and Bend tight end Luke Musgrave.
