FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. – Oregon State sophomore running back Ryan Nall is among 88 players from college football's Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) on the Wuerffel Trophy watch list announced today.
The Wuerffel Trophy, known as "College Football's Premier Award for Community Service," is presented annually by the All Sports Association in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Named after the 1996 Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Danny Wuerffel from the University of Florida, the Wuerffel Trophy is awarded to the FBS player that best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement.
Nall, who rushed for 455 yards and three touchdowns in 2015, is slated to enter fall camp as the starting running back according to the Beavers' depth chart released Wednesday morning by head coach Gary Andersen.
