Portland State coach Bruce Barnum said the Vikings knew they couldn't stop Montana State quarterback Dakota Prukop when the two teams played in October.
"Going into that game, we thought we had to keep up with Prukop scoring wise to have a chance to win," Barnum said.
The Vikings won, 59-42. But it wasn't because they ever stopped Prukop, who finished with 313 yards total offense.
Prukop announced this week he would transfer to Oregon for his senior season. Barnum said that is good news for the FCS Big Sky Conference and good news for the Ducks.
