CORVALLIS – Oregon State standout Mikayla Pivec has been named a candidate for the highly prestigious Senior CLASS Award.
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School ®, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
The list of 30 candidates will be narrowed to 10 finalists in February, and those names will be placed on the official ballot.
The Oregon State women's basketball program has received significant recognition from the Senior CLASS Award in recent seasons, with Sydney Wiese taking the honor in 2017 and Ruth Hamblin being named one of 10 finalists in 2016.
