Pantuso’s Golden Goal Stuns Jayhawks

Lawrence, Kan. – Freshman Allison Pantuso scored at 91:18 on Sunday to give the Oregon State women’s soccer team a 1-0 overtime victory over Kansas in the first-ever game between the programs.

A freshman from Thousand Oaks, Calif., Pantuso knocked home the rebound of a shot by freshman Mariah Roggow for her second golden goal of the season, and her third tally overall. She also had the game-winner in a 2-1 win at Portland on Aug.21.

The Beavers (4-0-1) are off to their best start since 2010, when they won their first five games. They are 3-0-1 in overtime, and have outscored their opponents 8-2 overall.
