CORVALLIS – After an impressive weekend by the Oregon State back line, junior defender Allison Pantuso has been honored as Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Pantuso helped anchor and Oregon State defense that held Washington and Washington State scoreless for a combined 211 minutes over the weekend. The Beavers notched a 0-0 draw with No. 25 Washington on Thursday, before defeating Washington State in double-overtime on Sunday.
Pantuso played every minute of the week's games at the centerback position, and has started each of Oregon State's 13 games this season.
