Three former Oregon State standouts will play for the Carolina Panthers when they face the Denver Broncos on Feb. 7 in the 50th Super Bowl, to be played at Levis Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
The Super Beavers are veteran quarterback Derek Anderson (2001-04); veteran defensive tackle Dwan Edwards (2000-03), and offensive lineman Mike Remmers (2008-11). Anderson and Edwards are backups; Remmers is Carolina’s starting right offensive tackle.
Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. PST. The game will be televised by CBS; with Jim Nantz (play-by-play), Phil Simms (analyst) and Tracy Wolfson (sidelines) and Evan Washburn (sidelines) on the broadcast team.
