CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State wrestling team fell to No. 11 Michigan 38-7 at Gill Coliseum on Sunday in the second annual Joe Wells Classic, its home opener.

The 24th-ranked Beavers (1-2) earned a major decision from heavyweight Cody Crawford and a decision from 141-pounder Joey Palmer against the undefeated (3-0) Wolverines, who also won at Oklahoma on Friday night to conclude a cross-country road trip with a 2-0 mark.

"There were a couple weights we didn't hold up, we just didn't set the pace in a lot of matches," OSU coach Jim Zalesky said.
