The Pac-12 Conference's revenues eclipsed $500 million for the first time in the 2016-17 financial year, and distributions to member institutions also hit a record mark of $371 million, the conference announced Thursday.
That works out to about $31 million in payouts per university. The disbursements have increased by 68 percent, from $228 million to $371 million, since 2012-13, when the Pac-12 began media rights deals with ESPN and Fox and launched the Pac-12 Networks.
The conference's $509 million in total revenue represented a 4 percent increase over the previous year, while the $371 million in distributions was an 8 percent increase over 2015-16, the conference said.
