CORVALLIS -- In the middle of a routine mid-September practice, a crowd of Oregon State defenders suddenly swarmed a screaming teammate.
A peek through the bodies revealed a fiery Manase Hungalu, clamoring for the Beavers' leaky unit to finally get it right.
"The scout team was scoring and the scout team was gaining yards," a calmer-yet-still-irked Hungalu explained about an hour later. "If the scout team can do that, then obviously that's going to happen in a game.
"We needed more out of people ... some guys get lazy sometimes or feel like they don't need to practice that hard because they're already established players.
