A review by the Pac-12 Conference Athletic Directors on Wednesday found that administrators responsible for the conference's football officiating program dropped the ball.
A joint statement released by the conference's athletic directors acknowledged that the administrators responsible for the conference's football officiating program had failed to put in place adequately clear and thorough procedures governing instant replay. Also, it found conference General Counsel Woodie Dixon's call to the conference replay center on Sept. 21 during the USC vs. Washington State game was a "mistake."
Dixon overruled both the stadium replay official and the command-center replay official on a potential targeting call that affected the game.
