HONOLULU – The Oregon State volleyball team fell to the 18th-ranked Hawai’I Rainbow Wahine in three sets Sunday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.
The Beavers dropped the first set, 25-20, and fell in the second, 25-19. The Rainbow Wahine opened the third set on a 5-1 run and held momentum throughout, closing out the match with a 25-11 third set win.
With the result, Oregon State finishes the tournament 1-2. Host Hawai’I finished 3-0, while fellow tournament participants Wichita State and Idaho went 2-1 and 0-3, respectively.
“Unfortunately, we just really had some subpar performances,” Oregon State head coach Taras Liskevych said.
