NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Senior second baseman Mikela Manewa of the Oregon State softball team was selected by the Scrap Yard Dawgs of National Pro Fastpitch at the NPF Draft held at the CMA Theatre in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on Thursday night.
The Scrap Yard Dawgs, which play in Conroe, Texas, chose Manewa in the sixth round of the NPF Draft at No. 40 overall. The senior from Kapolei, Hawai’I will potentially be the seventh player from the Oregon State softball program to play in the NPF, joining Beaver greats Lisa Allen, Adrienne Alo, Tarrah Beyster, Clare Burnum, Jodi Chmielewski and Shelly Prochaska.
