CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State rising sophomore infielder McKenna Arriola and the USA Junior National Team took home gold in the 2015 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Junior Women’s World Championship (JWWC), wrapping up the tournament with an 8-1 victory over Japan in the gold medal game.
The USA Junior National Team showed unprecedented dominance throughout the tournament, winning all 10 games played, while outscoring opponents 119-6. USA’s gold medal finish in the JWWC clinched the fifth in program history, tying Japan for most all-time.
