Eugene, Ore. – Anneke Moersdorf, Kaylee Mitchell and Grace Fetherstonhaugh all had top-four finishes on Saturday to lead Oregon State on Day 2 of the Pacific-12 Conference Track & Field Championships at Hayward Field.
The Beavers scored 18.5 points on Saturday and now have 24.5 overall, a school record in a conference meet since the sport was reinstated from a 17-year hiatus for the 2005 season. They are in sixth place heading into Sunday's closing day of competition.
A redshirt junior, Mitchell ran down defending champion Aneta Konieczek of Oregon in the final 200 yards and placed second in the 3000-meter steeplechase in 9:48.
