GOLD RIVER, Calif. – The Oregon State women’s rowing team finished seventh at the 2015 Pac-12 Championships regatta on Lake Natoma Sunday morning.
“The team did a really nice job overall today closing in some margins from two weeks ago,” head coach Emily Ford said. “Each boat felt like they had a solid race and that’s what you look for at the championships.”
Oregon State’s Third Varsity 8 turned in the Beavers’ best performance of the day with a fourth place finish. The Beavers’ 3V8 crew comprised of Bridgett Eby, Lily Banks, Alyssa Beamer, Alissa Kummer, Natalie Sarff, Sara Dunagan, Gabriela Smith-Tan and Athena Loos and piloted by Jayme Richardson, reached the 1,000-meter mark in dead last before using a second half surge to walk through the crews from Stanford, UCLA and USC.
