STOCKTON, California -- Leticia Romero scored 18 points, and No. 3 seed Florida State overcame a 17-point first-quarter deficit to top No. 2 seed Oregon State 66-53 in the Sweet 16 Saturday afternoon at Stockton Arena.
OSU's season ends at 31-5. The Beavers won at least a share of their third consecutive Pac-12 title, made their fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament and advanced to the Sweet 16 for the second consecutive season.
It was a contest with a drastic swing, as OSU led 21-4 in the first quarter. But Florida State put together a 16-5 run to close the gap in the second period and then a 14-2 spurt to take the lead in the third.
