CORVALLIS, Ore. – Alex McGarry and Zak Taylor each tallied two hits but Oregon State lost to Creighton, 4-1, Saturday afternoon at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.
The Beavers' season, with the loss, comes to an end at 36-20-1. Creighton (39-12), meanwhile, advanced to Sunday's action and will play at noon.
Taylor was 2-for-3 with a double while McGarry finished 2-for-4. Andy Armstrong drove in Oregon State's lone run with a sac fly in the fourth inning.
That pulled the Beavers to within a 3-1 mark, but the Bluejays scored a solo run in the seventh for the final tally.
