Oregon State's Jamie Weisner named Pac-12 Player of the Year, Ruth Hamblin repeats as Defensive Player of the Year

Oregon State senior guard Jamie Weisner was named the Pac-12 Player of the Year Monday in a vote by the league's coaches, while Beavers senior center Ruth Hamblin repeated as the conference's Defensive Player of the Year.

Weisner helped drive the Beavers to a share of the Pac-12 title in 2015-16, ranking fourth in the league in scoring at 17 points per game during the regular season while also averaging 5.3 rebounds per contest. She shot 47.8 percent from the floor, the highest mark for any guard in the league, and drilled 43 percent of her tries from three-point distance.
