On the day after Thanksgiving, the Beavers got right back to work, taking down the 18th/19th ranked Miami Hurricanes 75-53. The Beavers now sit at 6-0, and will have one more game in Miami tomorrow, against Liberty University.
The Beavers took the lead early, with Mikayla Pivec and Destiny Slocum once again leading the way. Pivec was the team’s leading scorer, with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists while Slocum contributed 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
The Beavers never lost the lead after 7:45 in the first quarter, but the Hurricanes kept things close for the bit.
