Oregon State University this spring is checking off another portion of its ongoing upgrades to Gill Coliseum, this time in the form of a high-definition video board and LED lighting.
OSU formally announced the video board design Tuesday, although school athletic director Scott Barnes has previously discussed the project. The renovation was already under way by the time of the announcement.
The privately-funded project is scheduled to be completed by the start of the 2018 women's volleyball season this coming fall.
The new videoboard will be suspended from the arena's ceiling above midcourt and will feature "four inward-curved LED video displays," according to the school's release.
