A fan-favorite and surprisingly integral member of last year’s team for Oregon State, junior forward Matt Dahlen has found a new home for the end of his basketball career at Division II, Saint Martin’s University, per a release by the school’s website. Dahlen will be immediately eligible as a graduate transfer for the Saints.
Dahlen started his career at Oregon State on the “diamond”, not the “hardwood”, as a baseball player but continued to live out his basketball dream in a walk-on role for head coach Wayne Tinkle. This past season, due to injury problems across the board, Dahlen found his role expanded as he appeared in 30 of the Beavers’ 32 games, including 10 starts.
