Oregon State intends to hire Idaho State offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Matt Troxel in an analyst role, a program source confirmed Friday to The Oregonian/OregonLive.
The news was first reported by the Idaho State Journal.
Troxel spent seven seasons at Idaho State, coaching inside wide receivers and the offensive line before shifting into his most recent role as coordinator and quarterbacks coach prior to the 2016 season. He remained in those positions last season after coach ISU head coach Mike Kramer announced his retirement in March 2017 and Rob Phenicie replaced him.
