CORVALLIS, Ore. – Travis Eckert scattered two hits and a run in eight innings and Christian Donahue went 3-for-5 as fourth-ranked Oregon State swept visiting Arizona State with a 7-3 win Sunday afternoon at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.
Eckert was dominant, striking out six in his fifth start of the season, to pick up the win, improving his record to 2-1 on the year. The senior’s lone two hits came back-to-back in the fourth when Arizona State was able to scratch across a run, putting OSU’s lead at 2-1.
Eckert has allowed just eight hits and five runs over his last 22 1/3 innings.
