Oregon State strengthens transfer policy

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) Oregon State will require all prospective transfer students to disclose whether they are ineligible to re-enroll at a previous school because of student conduct.

Undergraduate and graduate students seeking admission must disclose ineligibility at any school they've attended in the past seven years, Oregon State announced on Monday.

Requiring full disclosure from transfers strengthens a policy already in place that denies admission to students who are ineligible to return to their former school.

Oregon State President Ed Ray said the university is committed to combatting sexual violence and improving safety on the campus.
