Oregon State spring practice report: Kalani Sitake talks defensive progress

Spring practice No. 14

Prothro Practice Fields
Defensive players and coaches available for interviews

Three observations

1. Full disclosure: I did not see any of practice because the session ended more than 30 minutes early. With reporters able to watch the final 20 minutes, I arrived as players were walking off the field. Long story short, the Beavers rolled through their final traditional practice of the spring in rapid time.

2. That said, I spoke to defensive coordinator Kalani Sitake after the session and he said the defense looked "really good," a bit of a counter to Tuesday when coach Gary Andersen said the offense had its best practice of the spring.
