KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Oregon State softball advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals for the first time since 2006 by defeating host and No. 11 Tennessee on Sunday. Senior Mariah Mazon hit a two-run shot in the afternoon game to lift the Beavers, 3-1, over the Lady Vols as OSU advanced out of the NCAA Knoxville Regional.
Oregon State (37-20) dropped down to the elimination bracket after suffering a 3-0 loss to the Lady Vols on Saturday morning. In order to win the regional, Oregon State had to take two against Tennessee today due to the double elimination rule.
