Oregon State practice report: Rain clears away the smoke; Gary Andersen on defensive coordinator's press box move

1. First, a weather update: rain!

There was a lot of it at points of practice Thursday after a week in which smoke from wildfires throughout the state seeped into the Willamette Valley. It caused OSU to move practice indoors Wednesday after the team practiced in the smoky conditions one day earlier. By the end of Thursday’s practice, the downpour stopped and there were actual blue skies. The air quality rating in Corvallis is “good,” according to the Department of Environmental Quality.

The rain has eased up and we've finally got some blue skies.
