Oregon State offense faces uncertainty following narrow loss to Utah

CORVALLIS — With Tim Cook lined up to his right, Marcus McMaryion fired a touchdown pass to Hunter Jarmon to slice Utah's lead to five points with 1:40 to play.

This was not an alternate universe, some Oregon State version of the Upside Down. This was Saturday afternoon at Reser Stadium, where a rash of injuries forced the Beavers to go deep into their bench to try to finish off a rally against a ranked opponent.

In the end, No. 21 Utah held off OSU 19-14 to escape a rainy and windy Corvallis with its sixth victory.
