SAN FRANCISCO. – The fifth-ranked Oregon State baseball team received 98 of a possible 100 points and is the choice by the Pac-12 Conference’s coaches to win the league in 2016.
The Pac-12 released the preseason poll on Thursday, and the Beavers received eight of a possible 10 first-place votes. UCLA and California each received one.
The Bruins are projected to finish second after receiving 89 points, while California (84) is slotted at No. 3. Oregon (71) is fourth, followed by USC (67), Arizona State (50) and Stanford (49). Washington (34) is projected to finish eighth, Arizona ninth (31), Washington State (17) 10th and Utah 11th (15).
