EUGENE - Matthew Knight Arena was the site of last season's low point for Oregon State men's basketball.
The Beavers fell by 42 points in the Civil War after trailing 41-13 at halftime. Their return to Eugene on Saturday appeared to be on a similar trend as Oregon shredded OSU's once stingy zone defense throughout the first 20 minutes of a 66-57 defeat. The offense went equally stagnant as players looked tentative from the opening tip.
And even though the Beavers battled back from a 21-point deficit to make the final score far more respectable, the game again marked what to this point was a nadir of their season.
