Oregon State men's basketball counting on its experience to make a mockery of 10th place prediction

SAN FRANCISCO - The world of college basketball of late has been about the shiny new toys, the 5-star freshmen who pine to be one-and-done on their way to the NBA.

The experienced players? Must mean they're not good enough for the league. Which is hardly true, but regardless they're often plenty good enough to make a difference in college basketball.

That's one thing Oregon State is hanging its season upon, an experienced roster that coach Wayne Tinkle also calls the deepest of his five-year Beaver tenure.

Oregon State returns four of its top five scorers and 53 of its 73-point scoring average from the 2017-18 team.
