Oregon State has been the hottest team in the PAC-12 recently when it comes to recruiting. Jonathan Smith and this new Beaver staff have landed five verbal commitments and a transfer commitment totaling six since January 27th. However, this staff doesn’t seem to be done anytime soon.
On Friday evening, Oregon State landed a commitment from 247Sports 3-star offensive tackle Joshua Gray who made the annoucement public via his Twitter account:
At 6-foot-4, 245-pounds the offensive lineman chose the Beavers over offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Nebraska, San Diego State, Washington State, and others.
Where Oregon State had the advantage in the end with Gray’s recruitment was having Arizona’s former offensive line coach, Jim Michalczik and Nebraska’s former head coach, Mike Riley on the current roster giving the Beavers the inside track on Gray and his recruitment.
