Oregon State used a big 8 run 5th inning and a pretty solid pitching performance to "Ice" Pac-12 Conference foe Utah 10-2 in a non-conference contest Monday in Surprise, AZ.
Specifically, the 5th ranked Beavers' Logan Ice was the single biggest factor in both the inning and the game. Ice opened the bottom of the 5th in what was a scoreless pitchers' duel (a phrase not previously uttered at any time over the weekend in Surprise) to that point with a solo home run down the left field line, and capped the inning scoring with a 3 RBI triple that drove in Kyle Nobach, Caleb Hamilton, and Jack Anderson.
