Oregon State football practice report: Jake Luton has an impressive series in advance of first scrimmage

CORVALLIS – Oregon State moved practice Friday for this first time this preseason camp from Prothro Fields to Reser Stadium, one day in advance of the team’s first scrimmage.

It wasn’t quite the walk through the Beavers will have the day before a game, but the team did practice in shorts and shoulder pads, rather than full gear. Regardless, there was plenty of intensity, a few short fuses on defense, a good day for quarterback Jake Luton and a little bit of fun.

First, the scrimmage: It’s a public workout, beginning at 3 p.m. as part of Family Fun Day, where fans and alums can watch the Beavers scrimmage, followed by autograph session and a movie in Gill Coliseum.
