Oregon State’s December 12th matchup against the Stanford Cardinal has been moved from Stanford to Corvallis. Last week, Santa Clara County elected to ban all contact sports, necessitating much shuffling in the schedules of several leagues. With COVID-19 infections sky rocketing nation wide, and California and the Bay Area in particular suffering, the move is not surprising.
The Beavers are one of the only Pac-12 teams to have so far not had to cancel any games this season, though they have come close at times. Today’s announcement gives the Beavers an extra home game on this year’s short schedule, but with no crowd at Reser home field advantage doesn’t mean as much.
